Hearing the stories, changing the story

The change that's needed won't come easily or quickly to health care. And it won't come at all if we don't change the debate, change the practice, change the experience.
The Change Foundation Strategic Plan, 2010 – 2013

On June 23, 2010, The Change Foundation released its 2010-2013 strategic plan, Hearing the stories, changing the story, and announced its new goal -- to improve the experience of individuals and caregivers as they move in, out of, and across the health-care system over time as their health changes.

  • Read the full plan, which includes how we developed the plan and who we consulted.
  • Read our Environmental Scan: trends and activities in person-centred care, integrated care for patients, quality and innovation in the health-care system, and equity and population health.
  • Read a Top of Mind Alert with comments from CEO Cathy Fooks and Chair  Scott Dudgeon.

We'll be adding reaction and commentary about our new plan from the stewards, stakeholders and users of our health-care system.  We'll provide you with updates on specific projects we'll be pursuing  to make good on our plan. And we'll be issuing a survey in early summer to find out how you rate our plan. Does it resonate with you as a patient, caregiver, health-care planner or  and provider?
